Entry > Edit Details... command

This command shows the Edit Details dialog for the selected item.


This dialog is available for items in every module - Notes, Agenda tabs, Todo, Anniversary, or Habits.


The dialog box varies depending on the type of item being edited. See the how to article Edit details of an item for examples.



Depending on the type of item, the following fields may be available:

Basic Properties

Title

A summary of the item. Displayed in listings and on the graph in a bold type face.


Priority

A two character priority code which is used to sort Todo items.


Complete / Crossed-out

A flag that indicates if the item was completed or not. Completed items are not shown in most listings by default but can be seen by changing the option Show Completed Items on the View menu.

Schedule

Schedule Item

Flag that indicates if the item has been scheduled. Scheduled items always show a Reminder in the StoneNotes Alert dialog when the time for the item occurs.


Automatically

Flag that indicates if the item should be scheduled automatically. This places it in a free time slot on the current day, between the Wake Time and Sleep Time as configured in preferences.


Date

The date that the item is scheduled to be completed on or by.


Time

The time that the item is scheduled to be complete by.


Duration

The expected amount of time the item is thought to need. This can be expressed in Minutes, Hours, or Days according to what unit is selected in the dropdown next to the Duration text field.


The duration reserves a certain amount of space for Day items on the Agenda views.

Repeat

Repeat Item

A flag that indicates if the item should be automatically repeated on a schedule.


Schedule

The schedule that the item should be repeated on. Click the arrow to the right of the Schedule box to show the schedule editor:



You can select a Preset from the schedule editor's dropdown, or you can configure the schedule as desired by entering a repeat frequency (1 for "every", 2 for "every other", 3 for "every third", etc), repeat unit (Day, Week, Month, Year), and repeat days (any combination of days of the week the item can occur on).


Until

A radio button and date selector that sets what date the item will stop repeating on. Only one of Until or Count can be selected for a given item.


Count

A radio button and text entry for how many times you want the item to repeat. Only one of Until or Count can be selected for a given item.

Alarms

Set Alarm,

2nd Alarm

A flag that indicates if alarm 1 is turned on.

2nd Alarm is a flag that indicates if alarm 2 is turned on.


[text field]

A text field next to the Set Alarm or 2nd Aalarm flag that indicates how many units of time before the scheduled time you want the first alarm to occur.


[dropdown]

A dropdown next to the text field for the Set Alarm or 2nd Alarm flag that indicates what unit of time to use for the alarm - Minutes Before, Hours Before, or Days Before.

Flags

Marked

A special flag that will be used with the View menu's Show Marked menu item to filter to the set of Marked items only (for instance, when performing cleanup or other batch operations).

Buttons

OK

Save all changes to the item and close the Details dialog.


Cancel

Undo all cahnges to the item and close the Details dialog.
